So, I'm working on a lot of posts, I just haven't finished any of them! Hopefully, with spring break coming up soon I should be able to finish them all.

Smallzies

So, I'm one of the leaders of the now 2 women's small groups in our campus fellowship at CMU. and at the beginning of the semester we really spent some time in prayer about it, and then in planning and structuring things. Right now we've got 4 girls on monday and 4 girls on tuesday, and we are all studying the same thing each week, taking turns preparing a 'lesson' about a woman of the Bible. We split into 2 groups for a lot of reasons, all which we feel were from God - more sharing, more personal, more room for growth, less craziness sometimes, being more focused and more purposeful.

And so far, it's been pretty awesome. Last week we just met to talk about small group, get ideas, expectations, share the definite plan, and spend some time in prayer and sharing with each other, and it was really cool. God orchestrated our schedules so that the right people were there to provide support, encouragement, and stories of how God has helped them overcome a certain situation, and all in different way for one topic. It opened the sharing gates and also reminded us how God is in control - of our schedule, of things we have dealt with in our lives. And it was good to share that God has put things in our lives that maybe were difficult for us, but so that He can bring us out of that, and use that situation for us and therefore for God to help other people in a similar situation. It was a really great thing.

This week, we actually stared our 'lessons,' which was a good time of study and reflection in the Word and about God. Right at the end, we got the call about there being no school (yet again - day 3!) and decided to grab dinner, which turned into dinner, dessert, hangout, and tons of sharing, understanding each other, and encouragement. I am so excited for what God is going go do in our small group, in the other small group, in the guys' small group, in our fellowship as a whole, and on our campus, and in the world. I know that God is growing us all in these times and that from this, we can share with others. That's what it's all about, right? Doing this whole life thing together with all the people that are in our lives. And working so that God is given glory through it all.
